Buttered Badger Potholing Club

Welcome to the Buttered Badgers

Please bear with us while we restore some of the articles to the new site.

From humble beginnings three friendly badgers came together to cave and conquer. Having graduated into the big world they wanted to continue to cave and did so for many a year. Trips followed buttery exploits with the odd escape abroad thrown into the churn until in a moment of drunken realisation Buttered Badger Potholing Club was born.

Badgers roam from far and wide to meet up for a caving weekend. We have no preference to our caving locations though the Peak District is a current favourite. We've caved in North Yorkshire, North and South Wales and the Peak District where we also 'enjoy' digging and exploring old mines. Digging escapades have led to the successful extension of Rowter Hole. Our wanderings are far ranging with paw prints being left in France, Oman, China and Borneo to name a few.

Being a young club we are on the look out for new members be they experienced cavers or novices. We even cater for arm chair dwellers. Some of our members cave weekly others whenever time allows.

Though the club is of no fixed abode there are dreams of a caving hut or Sett in the peaks.
